New Years Day Swim

This tradition started years ago as a Mo Duk Pai event.  I’ve found that through the years even when I was away from home I would do my best to follow the tradition.  It’s become a wonderful way to wash away the old and bring in the new, face a challenge, breath and TRY to relax.
This year all of you are welcome and encouraged to join in.  Some students will meet at NPAKF at 11:00 a.m.  From there we will head to Sauvie Island to meet with other brave souls.  So whether you come from home, NPAKF, Sifu Kyle’s, Sifu Wally’s or wherever you hail from, we will all connect on the island.  When you cross the bridge onto the island there is a little market on the south side of the road. We’ll meet there at 11:45 and caravan out to the beach at the end of the island.  You are allowed to have small fires on the beach so bring your marshmallows!  Hope to see many of you Fu’ers there to take the plunge.

Women’s Self Defense

A fun and positive approach to Women’s Self Defense.  This is a fantastic series of classes with valuable information for women regardless of your fitness level.  You will learn how to use your body as a powerful weapon.  Classes will cover self defense basics and incorporate physical drills, including striking into pads.  No experience is necessary.  $15 pre-registration, $20 day of.  Wear comfortable clothes and bring your own water bottle.  The next class will be held September 30th.  For more information or to register and/or pay for this class go to the website listed below.  Sorry fella’s, no men allowed for this one.
